Dorothy Cusick

Dorothy M. Cusick, 97, of Utica, formerly of Ottawa Illinois, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Ottawa Funeral Home with Fr. Jules Adator of St. Patrick Church officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, prior to services, on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at the Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Dorothy was born June 3, 1916, in Serena, Illinois, to Frank and Alice (McKinley) Davis. She married Ernest G. Yates on June 8, 1935, at St. Columba Church. He died October 17, 1962, she then married William Cusick on May 28, 1966, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Ottawa. He died January 17, 2006. Dorothy was a housekeeper at Ottawa General Hospital until they closed. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Ottawa. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Hill of Utica; two grandchildren, Troy (Tammy) Hill of Ottawa and Lisa (James) O'Connor of Carmal, IN; four great-grandchildren, Kelly, Sean, and Katie O'Connor, and Bonnie Neeley; one great-great-grandson, Nicky Onoroto; two sisters, Norma Hughes and Bertha Garland. She is preceded in death by both of her husbands; one son, Ernest Yates; four brothers, Frank, Joseph, Albert and Herbert Davis; four sisters, Rosemary Coleman, Helen Stewart, Alice Davis, and Zelda Dubach Pallbearers will be Dave and Chuck Carretto, Leo and Mark Sauvageau, Ryan Hill, and Jim O'Connor.
