Dorothy L. Buck

Dorothy Buck, 81, of Seneca passed away Monday, May 27, 2019 at Park Pointe Healthcare and Rehab Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 Friday, May 31, 2019 at St. Patrick's Church in Seneca with Rev. Ghislain Inai officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 - 11:00, two hours prior to Mass, at St. Patrick's Church in Seneca. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery at a later date. Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home has been entrusted with her services.

Dorothy was born June 21, 1937, in Seneca, Illinois to Raymond and Anna Mae (Abraham) Wheeler. Dorothy worked at St. Patrick's Church in Seneca as an administrator for many years and then as a librarian at Seneca Library. Friends were an important part of Dorothy’s life; she and her friends would meet once a month for "Club". Reading was one of her favorite past times throughout her life. Additionally, she was a die hard Cubs fan and also enjoyed watching the Bulls.

She is survived by eight children, Mike Buck, Matt Buck, Steve (Kari) Buck, Debbie (Dave) Bogash, Patti (Jack) Kaufmann, Joan (Shawn) Johnson, Chris (Nick) Boratto, and Teri (Corey) Burrows; twenty-four grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; one great grand-daughter, Dylann Farrero; and two siblings, Marilyn Anderson and Raymond Wheeler.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons Seth Bogash, Craig Buck, Dave Buck, Jonathan Kaufmann, Graham Chapman, Jayson Buck, Brandon Buck, and Grant Burrows.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joan Claggett, Donna Rodgers, Margaret Einhaus, Ruthanne Heaton, Darlene Bedeker, Susan VanCleave, Beverly Gondolfi, and Ruth Ann Foehringer.
