Doris Ftacek

OTTAWA -- Doris Ftacek, 80, of Ottawa, died Thursday, Nov. 22, at her home. Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Francis of Assisi Church with the Rev. Gerald Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ottawa Funeral Home. Mrs. Ftacek was born Nov. 18, 1927, in Ottawa, to Joseph and Mary (Zarka) Evans. She married James Ftacek on June 1, 1946, at St. Francis of Assisi Church. He died Aug. 1, 1997. She retired from Hiway Credit Union in 1987 and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and its Altar and Rosary Society; AARP and Catholic Daughters of America. She is survived by one daughter, Marianne (Donald) Smith of Ottawa; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph C. Evans. Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
