Dorene Van Cleave

Dorene Van Cleave, 73, of Seneca passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at OSF St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at St. Patrick's Church in Seneca with Rev. Ray Guthrie officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, September 8, 2014 with prayers at 8:00 pm at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home in Seneca. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Dorene was born November 21, 1940 in Ottawa, Illinois to James and Marion (Dinelli) Mooneyham. She married William Van Cleave on December 7, 1957 at St. Joseph Church in Marseilles. She retired from the food service department at Seneca High School. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Seneca. She is survived by two sons, Stephen Van Cleave and Thomas Van Cleave; two daughters, Beth (Jim) Close and Lisa (Edward) Hauck; eight grandchildren, Katelyn Van Cleave, Jennifer Skaggs, James Close, Kristen, and Casey Hauck, Clay (Micah), Craig, and Whitney Becker; three great grandchildren, Evan and Kirstyn Skaggs, and Will Becker. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Van Cleave; one son, Michael Van Cleave; and her granddaughter, Angela Pinder. Pallbearers will be David Van Cleave, Matt Mooneyham, James Close, Casey Hauck, Mark Muraro, and Paul Rivett. Memorials may be directed to OSF St. Elizabeth Hospice.
