Doreen "Dorrie" Smith

Doreen "Dorrie" Smith, 63, of Ottawa, IL passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at her home.

Dorrie was born July 18, 1959 in Ottawa, IL to George and Joyce (Johnson) Weber. She married Barry Smith, who preceded her in death.

Dorrie is survived by her daughter, Jamie Forbes; her granddaughter, Randi Lynn Reynolds; her niece, Baleigh Denbo; her aunt, Doris Lewis; her lifelong best friend, Debbie Valdez; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Joyce Weber; her brother, George Weber Jr.; her sister, Jill Kinney; and her husband, Barry Smith.

Dorrie was a people person and loved hanging out with friends and family. She enjoyed playing with her two cats, Nosey and Gracie. She also loved to be outdoor and nature, especially fishing and swimming with the dolphins.

Cremation rites have been accorded to Ottawa Funeral Home.
