Donald Pagakis Sr.

Donald "Duck" Pagakis Sr., 83, of Serena passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Morris Hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Wednesday, April 19 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm, Tuesday, April 18 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Donald was born February 28, 1934 in Ottawa to George and Lida (Cupples) Pagakis. He married Donna Jean Hoadley on November 28, 1959; she passed away December 26, 2000. Donald retired from Libby Owens Ford (Naplate). He loved to cook and go fishing and hunting. He was a loving father, grandpa, and great-grandpa; he loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. He is survived by his children, Donald (Diana) Pagakis Jr., Dirk (Loretta) Pagakis, Dori Pagakis, and Dena Miller; his grandchildren, Cory, Joshua, and Cody Pagakis, Shona Phillips, Keirsten (Timothy) Schwartz, Chelsea (Aaron) Curtin, Shane (Jennifer) Hoagland, and Megan Miller; ten great-grandchildren, his brother-in-law, Steven (Linda) Hoadley; and his furry friend, Maynard. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Iola Daggett, Dorothy Anderson, Vernon and John Pagakis; one son, Daniel Wayne; his loving wife Donna; and one grandson, Dustin Hoekstra. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren-Cory, Joshua, and Cody Pagakis, Timothy Schwartz, Shane Hoagland, and Aaron Curtin. Memorials may be directed to the family.
