Donald H. Schodrof, Jr., 70, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 at his home. Funeral Service for Donald will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Don was born July 25, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, to Donald H. Sr. and Eleanor (Cummings) Schodrof. He was retired from Sheridan Correctional Center where he was a guard. He is survived by one son Donald H. Schodrof, III of Ottawa; five sisters, Mary Ellen Schodrof of Oak Forest, Dorothy Jean (Tom) Beaty of Sequin, TX, Susan Marie (Charles) Rumisek of Thompsonville, Jean Louise (Gary) Berger of Orland Park, and Jennifer Marie (Ben) Heemstra of Tinley Park; three brothers, Jack Schodrof of Clarendon Hills, Michael Patrick (Karen) Schodrof of Midlothian, and Robert James (Jan) Schodrof of Crete; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald, Sr., Eleanor and Lawrence Fuller; and one sister, Karen. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
