Donald Marlatt Sr.

Donald L. Marlatt Sr. 64, of Ottawa, joined the angels on Thursday March 27, 2008 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Military Services and Minister Gary Barber officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 noon til 3:00 PM Sunday March 30 at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service. Donald was born July 7, 1943 in Pekin, Illinois to Coy and Katherine (Scarcliff) Marlatt. He married Sandra Zemke on October 17, 1975 in Sterling, Illinois. Mr. Marlatt was a Line Foreman for Illinois Power/Ameren for 31 years. He was a member of IBEW Local 51, the Loyal Order of the Moose #960, Odd Fellows and was joint owner with his wife of S&J Lisbon Locker in Lisbon, Illinois. He is survived by his wife; two daughters Julie Guerrero of Harding and Aleta Tarbill of Rockfalls; four sons Steve (Cathy) of Rockfalls, Donald Jr. of Kissimmee, FL, Michael of Peru and David (Janet) Billings of Ottawa; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and his half-sister Cindy (Ron) Heaton of Glassford. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Jack and Billy. Pallbearers will be Terry Spurling, Danny Marlatt, Bill Matson, Craig Snyder, Keith Campbell and Tom Smith.
