Donald R. Leese

Donald R. Leese, 76, of Ottawa, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at Pleasant View Luther Home.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26th at the Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory. Immediately following a memorial gathering for friends and family will be held from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Ottawa V.F.W.

Don was born May 16, 1940, in Streator, to Earl and Kathryn (Outram) Leese. He married Judy Adams on October 1, 1960 at St. Stephen's Church in Streator. Don worked at Handy Foods as the meat department manager for more than 30 years, until retiring in February 2007.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; one daughter, Jean (Mike) McDonald; one son, Rick Leese; two grandchildren, Jordan and Katelyn McDonald; and five sisters, Linda Sawyer, Marilyn (John) Niehaus, Chris Leese, Beth (Richard) Puckett, and Dawn Leese.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
