Donald Pagakis Jr.

Donald Pagakis Jr., 62, of Earlville, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023 at his home.

A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, April 27, from 3:00 until 6:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. Cremation rites have been accorded to Ottawa Funeral Home.

Donald was born November 12, 1960, in Ottawa, IL, to Donald Sr. and Donna (Hoadley) Pagakis. He married Diana Hoaglund on February 28, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Don was an avid sportsman, he loved to fish and hunt. He traveled all over to different lakes. He enjoyed going out to eat and cooking. He liked getting his family together, especially his kids and grandkids. He was always hosting thanksgiving dinner, pig roasts, and shrimp boils. He was extremely supportive of the Earlville community, he always supported the Lions Club, Earlville Fire Department and Ambulance.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Diana Pagakis; his children, Cory Pagakis, Cody (Alyson) Pagakis, and Shane (Jennifer) Hoaglund; his grandchildren, Braxton Pagakis, Mickaela Hoaglund, Mickenzie Hoaglund, and Kristopher Haish; and his siblings, Dirk (Loretta) Pagakis, Dori Pagakis, and Dena Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Danny Pagakis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Earlville Ambulance, Fire Department, or Lions Club.
