Donald F. Burke

Donald F. "Burkie" Burke, 73, of Ottawa passed away Friday evening October 17, 2008 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11 A.M. at St. Columba Church with Father David Kipfer officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Burial will be in St. Columbia Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be Wednesday October 22, 2008 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Ottawa Funeral Home. He was born on April 24, 1935 at Ottawa to Daniel T. and Mary (Whyte) Burke. They preceded him in death. He married Marcia Baker on April 15, 1961. She survives. He was a truck driver for Consolidated Freight. He belonged to St. Columba Church where he was a Usher and Altar Server. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. He served with the National Guard. He graduated from Marquette High School with the class of 1953. Don is survived by his wife; two daughters, Suzie Burke and Theresa "Tess" Burke both of Ottawa; three granddaughters, Jordanne, Meagan and Mara Zuckerman all of Ottawa.
