Donald C. Broadus

Donald C. Broadus, 27, of Ottawa, IL passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010. A Memorial Service will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, prior to services at the funeral home. There will also be a celebration of Donald's life at Buffalo Rock State Park at a later date. Ottawa Funeral Home oversaw the cremation. Don was born August 12, 1983 in Ottawa to Sandra Rohr and Christopher Broadus. He was a 2002 graduate of Princeton High School. He had worked for Route 6 Car Wash. He often volunteered his time to care for animals and loved nature as well. Don is survived by his parents, Sandra Rohr of Wyanet, Il and Christopher (Stephanie) Broadus of Ottawa, Il; two brothers, Benjamin Broadus, and Robert Broadus, both of Ottawa; his maternal grandparents, Curtis and Mary Jane Rohr of Ottawa; his paternal grandmother, Wanda (John) Logsdon of Marseilles; his three uncles, Gary (Sue) Rohr, and Don (Cindy) and Steven Broadus; and his extended family, Joshua, Nick and Bobbie (Mike) Johnson, Karen (Scott) Roudis, and Sarah Elzer; and a host of honorary brothers, sisters, aunts, and uncles. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald I. Broadus and an Aunt, Loretta Broadus. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the family to dedicate a Memoriam in Donald's name.
