Dominic Vercolio

Dominic Vercolio Jr., 84, of Ottawa, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

Due to Covid guidelines, funeral services will be private. Ottawa Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Dominic was born May 3, 1936 in Litchfield, IL to Dominic Sr. and Victoria (Baima) Vercolio. He married Nancy Kerestes on May 23, 1959 in Streator.

Dominic worked as an elevator repair technician at Montgomery Kone prior to his retirement. He was an avid Green Bay Packers and a St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was a member of the Ottawa Knights of Columbus and St. Columba Church.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy; his daughter, Beth (Jody) Osmund; his son, Brian Vercolio; and his three grandchildren, Richard, Duncan, and Jack Osmund.

Dominic was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mary Vercolio; his brother, Peter Vercolio; and a daughter in infancy.

Memorials may be directed to St. Columba building fund or the Community Food Basket of Ottawa.
