Maria Dolores Rios, 75, of Ottawa passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 at OSF St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ottawa. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 to 1:00 pm Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the Ottawa Funeral Home. Maria Dolores was born April 29, 1938 in Mexico to Luis and Josefina (Martinez) Serrano. She married Fortunato "Louis" Rios September 21, 1974 in Mexico; he passed away August 13, 2006. Maria Dolores enjoyed going for walks, gardening, and loved animals. She is survived by one daughter, Monica (Robert) Alsvig of Ottawa; one son, Louie Rios of Ottawa; two grandchild, Tyler and Alexis Alsvig both of Ottawa; three brothers; one sister; and her special nephew, Hector Garcia of Racine, WI. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and one brother. Memorials may be directed to the family.
