David Neurohr

David Neurohr, 75, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Thursday, May 1, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi with Father Mike Adrie officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 3:30. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. David was born December 7, 1938 in Ottawa, Illinois to Peter and Lorretta (Higgins) Neurohr. He married Judith (Vandervort) January 14, 1961 at St. Francis of Assisi Church. He graduated from Marquette High School in 1957. He retired from Lucent Technologies; having worked also for Western Electric and AT&T. He coached basketball for many years at St. Francis Grade School. His happiest times were at his cabin in Minnesota; enjoying his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Judith; three sons, Dave (Lisa) Neurohr, Pete (Kayla) Neurohr, Tom (Shannon) Neurohr; six grandchildren, Josh (Nicole) Neurohr, Kody, Spencer, Ben, Ashley, and Michaela Neurohr, two step-grandchildren, Joe (Anna) Jorgenson, Josh Jorgenson; one great-grandson; three step great-gransdons; and one sister, Elaine (Jack) Mc Keon. He is preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe and Josh Jorgenson, Joe and Tony Neurohr, Leon Phelps. Memorials may be directed to St. Francis Church or donor's choice.
