David Hougas

SENECA -- David P. Hougas, 74, of Seneca, died Saturday, Feb. 2, at Ottawa Pavilion. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home in Seneca with the Rev. Anthony Suits officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Seneca. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Hougas was born Oct. 15, 1933, in Seneca, to Allen and Jessie Hougas. He married Colleen Rohde in 1966. He was a laborer and served in the Army. He was a member of Local 393 in Marseilles. He is survived by three daughters, Debra (Rich) Barra and Karen and Sally Hougas, all of Ottawa; a son, Arlow Hougas of Ottawa; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, David Allen Hougas, two brothers, Cecil Osborne and Ernest Hougas, and a sister, Laura Spauding. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Sabia, Justin and Arlow Hougas, Dillion Balk and David and Rocky Raikes.
