David Gray

David A. Gray, 50, of Ottawa, IL, died, Monday, November 30, 2009 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Friday, December 4, 2009 at St. Francis of Assisi, with the Msgr. Jerome Ham officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 pm, Thursday, December 3, 2009 Prayers at 5:00 PM at Ottawa Funeral Home. David Gray was born September 22, 1959, in Ottawa, IL., to Ernest and Catherine (Lakan) Gray. He married Beth Proehl on May 4, 1985 at Deer Park Community Church. He worked for Gravey Grain Co. and was a Laborer. David loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing with his family. He is survived by his wife Beth; his father Ernest and his wife Patricia Gray of Wenona, IL.; two sons, Dwain (Kathy Carter) of Marseilles and Matthew (Angie Ross) Gray at home; one daughter,Catherine "Katie" Gray at home; his granddaughter Jade; three brothers, Ernie (Diane) Gray, Ben Gray and Robert Gray all of Ottawa; two sisters, Gail Sherman of Chicago and Bonnie (Roger) Zuk of Ottawa. He was preceded in death by his Mother Catherine, his Son Austin "AJ" Gray and one sister Lynda Gray. Pallbearers will be Dwain and Matthew Gray, Kevin Sampson, John Bansberg, Gary Knutson and Ray Konzak. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rich Lavanway, Pat Henry and Dean Alcorn.
