David C. Decoursey

David Carroll DeCoursey, 74, of Ottawa, IL, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Claremont Rehab and Living Center in Buffalo Grove, IL. Funeral Services will be Monday, November 29, 2010 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m., Sunday, November 28, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park with Military Services. David was born January 14, 1936 in Macon, MO to Carl and Mary (Buster) DeCoursey. He married Elizabeth "Betty" Meier August 17, 1981 in Ottawa. David retired from U.S. Silica for over forty years. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ottawa. David is survived by his wife, Betty of Ottawa; one son, Randy (Kathy) of Arlington Heights, IL; four grandchildren; and a brother, Larry (Sharon) DeCoursey of Ohio. He is preceded in death by one daughter, Deanna Hutchinson; his parents; and his former wife, Benita Wood. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
