David Castelli

David Castelli, 51, of Ottawa, IL, passed away Sunday February 23, 2020 at Joliet Area Community Hospice.

A Funeral Celebration will be at 6:00 pm Friday 28, 2020. Visitation will be 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm before the services at Ottawa Funeral Home.

David was born January 24, 1969, in Dekalb, IL, to John B and Rebecca (Smith) Castelli. He married Michelle Auger on October 12, 1993 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dave worked for Flint Hills Resources in Peru, Il. He was an avid Bears fan who loved playing poker with the guys on Friday nights. He enjoyed fishing, camping, vacations and playing with his dogs. He loved watching movies with his family. He was the best chef and loved cooking and grilling out for his friends and family. He always made people smile. He was that bright light that everyone gravitated towards. Everyone loved Dave. His dogs, Marley and Laila will miss him terribly along with anyone who was lucky enough to know him.. Dave passed away peacefully at 8:40 pm on Feb. 23 surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his Wife, Michelle two sons Cody and Cole Castelli, his dogs Marley and Laila, his mother Rebecca Kendall, his father in law Ron DeBrase, one brother John B Castelli Jr. and one sister Taylore Castelli and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

David was preceded in death by his father; his mother in law Sandy DeBrase and his grandparents .
