Darryl Thomas Turner

Darryl T. Turner, 61, of Ottawa passed away August 19, 2010 at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet. Ottawa Funeral Home oversaw the cremation. Darryl was born March 13, 1949 to Jesse and Dorothy (Baker) Turner in Danville, Illinois. Darryl loved history, nature, and ordering people around, and was very proud of his Native American heritage. He was a free spirit who lived life on his own terms. Anyone who knew him is laughing right now, and thinking that's one way of putting it. He is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Todd) Burns of Ottawa, Gina (Ron) Arroyo of Ottawa; one son, Brett (Terra) Turner of Marseilles; three grandchildren, Christian Arroyo, Brett and Chloe Turner; two step-grandchildren Brittni Timmerman and Kyle Burns; four sisters, Judy (Jim) Crane of Oklahoma, Janice Ervin and Mary Turner both of Tennessee; two brothers, Mark of Oklahoma and Pat (Kathryn)Turner of Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Bill Turner.
