Darlene M. Walsh, 70, of Des Plaines, Illinois, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Ballard Health Center in Des Plaines. Funeral Service for Darlene will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Johnson of First Assembly of God Church in Ottawa officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. prior to service on Thursday at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will Oakwood Memorial Park. Darlene was born August 31, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to George S. and Frances C. (Blackburn) Brooks. She married Joe Walsh who preceded her in death. She is survived by one sister, Helen Brooks of Ottawa; two brothers, William Brooks of England and James (Margaret) Brooks of Villa Park; five nephews, Allen Brooks, Jason Brooks, Michael Brooks, Anthony Sodaro, and Charles (Julie) Sodaro; and four nieces, Kim Gongola, Melody Rhode, Jenny Brooks, Lori Smith, and Sue Brooks . She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother, Howard Brooks.
