Daniel Owen Jones

Daniel Owen Jones, 83, of Tonica, IL, passed away January 3rd, 2025, in Peru Illinois.

A private memorial service will be held at Ottawa Funeral Home.

Daniel was born December 31st, 1941, in Council Grove, KS, to Thomas Owen and Lura (Felton) Jones. He married Penny (Thompson) Jones on June 28th, 1986, in Ottawa, IL.

He worked at Walmart as a cashier for 26 years. He served in the Army and Air Force. He loved to read, play video games, watch movies, support the Kansas City Chiefs, and play chess.

He is survived by his; Wife, Penny, Brother; Sam Jones, 3 Children; Angela, Michelle, David, Sister In Law; Sandra (Frank) Smith, Niece; Tiffany (Rob) Lewis, Great Nephew; Nicholas (Rachel) Lewis, & Great Niece; McKenzie Lewis.

Daniel was preceded in death by his; Parents, Brother; Larry Jones, & Sister In Law; Linda Thompson.
