Daniel J. Debernardi

Daniel J. DeBernardi, 57, of Bloomington, died Friday, September 12, 2008 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Lourduraj Ignatius officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitations will be from 4:00 - 7:00 PM Wednesday, September 17 at Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home in Bloomington and from 9:00 - 11:00 AM Thursday, September 18 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Daniel was born July 15, 1951 in Ottawa, to James F. and Leona J. (Ballock) DeBernardi Jr. He graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1973 with a degree in Accounting. Daniel worked for State Farm Insurance in Bloomington for 35 years, most recently as a director in the systems department. He is survived by his parents, James and Leona of Naplate; one brother, Gary (Debra) of Phoenix, Arizona; two nieces, Shannon (Jesse) Ekenroth of Napa Valley, California and Kendra DeBernardi of Phoenix, Arizona; one great-nephew, Caden M. Eckenroth and special friend Trish Miller of Normal. Pallbearers will be Ron Palmer, Don Palmer, Jim Ritchie, Scott Holmes, Mark Rogogna and Steve Azbill.
