Daniel Joseph Burke

Danny was born July 11, 1951 in Ottawa, IL to Daniel J. and Helen (Mitchell) Burke. He married Pattie Arnold May 21, 1977 in Warrenville, IL. He was a charter member of the River Rats, a member of St. Patrick's Church, and an Electrician for 37 years at Caterpillar Inc. in Aurora, IL. Danny was very active in his children's lives. He was a Den Leader for both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and also coached T-Ball and Little League for Rutland Grade School during his children's school years. Danny was a loving husband, compassionate father and a loyal gentle friend. Danny touched so many lives with his love. He will be truly missed forever. He is survived by his wife, Pattie of Marseilles; his father, Daniel (Beverly) Burke of Ottawa; two sons, Daniel "Joe" (Bridget Brandt) of Morris, IL , and Bryan Burke of Ottawa; one daughter, Kelley Burke of Ottawa; two brothers, Kevin of Ottawa, and Tim (Cyndi Gavin) of Naperville, IL; three sisters, Karen Thumm of Ottawa, Patty (Julie McClone) Burke of Loves Park, IL, and Laura (Eric) Jensen of Utica, IL. Danny is preceded in death by an infant son, Paul Michael, and his mother, Helen Burke. Pallbearers will be Michael Childs, Don Kemmerling, Ray Kolodziejski, Billy Kaye, Don Kemmerling III, Adam Childs, Matt Kemmerling, R.J. Kolodziejski, and Bobby Kaye. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Ottawa Regional Hospice.
