Dana M. Shane, 42, of Ottawa died Thursday, June 30, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00AM Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at St. Columba Church with Rev. Ray Guthrie officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 Tuesday July 5th at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 4:00. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Dana was born March 12, 1969 in Ottawa, Illinois to Thomas F. and Victoria (Shianna)Katrein. She graduated from Marquette High School and graduated from IVCC as a paralegal. She worked for HR Imaging in Ottawa. She was a member of St. Columba Church. She is survived by her parents; one son, Bailey Shane of Ottawa; one sister, Kelly Katrein of Ottawa; maternal grandmother, Marilyn Shianna of Lafayette, Indiana; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Tony and Catherine Katrein; maternal grandfather, Victor Shianna; two uncles, Pete Katrein and Bob Katrein; and one aunt, Bev Elias. Pallbearers will be Kevin Dille, Kerrigan Katrein, Adam Nelson, Arnold Manley, Jake Cowan, Jarod Ceja, and Jordan Smith. Memorials may be directed to her family.
