Dale Schreck

Dale Oscar John Schreck, 82, of Ottawa, passed peacefully on Monday, April 3 in his home under the care of OSF Hospice Care.  He was born September 23, 1940 in Stockton, IL.

He is survived by his wife, Rose, and children Janine (Dan) Erickson, Vicki (Don) Wronkowski, Debbie Williams, Cathy (Denny) Cocks, Bob (Kelly) Croy, Sherri (Bill) Vella, in addition to two brothers and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sons.

Dale retired from Caterpillar after many years of loyal service and spent his retirement caring for his home, spending time with family and friends, and doing woodworking projects.

A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2023, at New Hope Baptist Church, 4101 Needham Road, Plano, IL  60545. Those unable to join us in person can watch the service via live stream through New Hope.  A light meal will be served directly following the memorial.  A private burial will be held at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated in his honor to the organization of your choice.
