Dale Russell

Ronald "Dale" Russell, 63, of Marseilles, Illinois, died Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at Loyola Hospital in Maywood, Illinois. Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2013, at Christ Episcopal Church, with Father Mark A. Geisler officiating, assisted by Fathers Bobby Smith, John Crist, and Wally Marshall. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 3 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Dale was born December 14, 1949, in Franklin Indiana, to Henry and Emma (Connor) Russell. He married Judy Ftacek Lockard on June 5, 1982, in Ottawa. He retired from US Silica after 43 years. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Ottawa. He is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Dale (Kathy) Russell, Sheila (Steven) Bayer, Angela (Mark) Miller, Barbara (James) DeRoche all of Ottawa and Mike (Kim) Lockard of Encinitas CA; his sister, Loretta Russell (Daryl) Lowe of Dayton; eight grandchildren, Emily and Phillip Bayer, Ronald Russell, Samantha and Will Stokes, Andrew and Cory Armstrong and Nicholas Miller; and sisters-in-law, Pat (Russell) Aicher and Linda Russell. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jesse and Harold Russell. Memorials may be directed to Christ Episcopal Church in Ottawa or to the family.
