Cynthia Shaffer

Cynthia E. Shaffer, 46, of Ottawa, IL, died, Monday, January 3, 2011 at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center. Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Monday, January 10, 2011 at Ottawa Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 to 1:00 PM Monday, January 11, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Cynthia was born, March 9, 1964, in Oak Park, Il., to Stanley and Gladys "Freda" (Heavener) Horonzy. She was a member of St. Columba Church, the Chicago Police Marine Corp., the American Legion, and the Marine Corp. League. She is survived by four sons, Michael Carrillo residing in California, Patrick and John Shaffer and Donald Clark, all of Ottawa; her parents, Stan and Freda of Brookfield; sister, Frieda Naber; and brothers, David Bixler, Paul, Harry, Steve, John and Kenneth Horonzy. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Pallbearers will be her two brothers, Ken and Steve; her father, Stan; her sons, Patrick and John; and her Uncle Bob. Memorials may be directed to the family.
