Colleen L. Ftacek

Colleen L. Ftacek, 89, of Ottawa passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Ottawa Pavilion.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm February 22, 2017 at St. Mary's Church in Naplate with Rev. Augustin Kassa officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30-12:30 Wednesday, prior to the services, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery.

Colleen was born May 13, 1927 in Havana, Illinois to Elmer and Susan (Gaines) Hamilton. She married Andrew P. Ftacek on July 31, 1948 in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Ottawa.

Colleen retired from Snap-On Tools. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Altar & Rosary Society, and AARP.

She is survived by her husband, Andrew P. Ftacek; one daughter, Christine (Ralph) Mathes; two sons, Andrew (Barbara) Ftacek and Michael (Virginia) Ftacek; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Georgia (George) Welsh.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Ftacek, Jr., Michael Ftacek, Mark Ftacek, Sean Leheney, Martin Ftacek, Matthew Ftacek and Kraig Mathis.
