Cloyd C. Camplin

Cloyd C. Camplin, 83, of Sheridan, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the LaSalle Veteran's Home.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, March 13 at the Ottawa American Legion, with Chaplain Fred Ruggeri. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the American Legion. Cremation rites have been accorded through Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory.

Cloyd was born July 30, 1932 in Georgetown, Illinois, to Leo and Elsie (Lanham) Camplin. He married Cathy Henneke on July 28, 2012, two days before his 80th birthday, at Sheridan Rod and Gun Club. Lots of family and friends celebrated the day with them.

Cloyd loved playing horseshoes and singing karaoke. He loved people and was a very loving husband. Cathy and Cloyd were not only spouses, but best friends; they always walked hand in hand together. He is survived by his wife, his children and grandchildren, and one brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and sisters.
