Clarice J Keeney

Clarice Keeney, 80, of Ottawa, Illinois passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Ottawa Regional Hospital. Funeral Services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2012 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Pastor Peter Ward officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. prior to services on Friday. Cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will be in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Clarice was born May 3, 1931 in Dennison, Minnesota to Orrin and Thelma Egland. She married Jack Keeney August 5, 1961 in Ingleside, Illinois. He died July 30, 1988. Clarice retired from Medi-RX Pharmacy and A&P. Clarice is survived by three daughters, Lorrie (Corrie) Sommerdyke of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Esther Howell of Wheaton, Illinois, and Pam Richter of Lindenhurst, Illinois; four sons, Gordon (Judy) Ricard of Urbandale, Iowa, Bob (Kate) Keeney of Ottawa, and Mike (Toni) Keeney of Aurora, Illinois, Wayne (Elizabeth) Lyons of Genoa City, Wisconsin; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and one sister, Arlene Hernke. She is preceded in death by her husband; one son-in-law, Jeff Howell; and two brothers, David Egland and Lyle Egland. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
