Christopher Prisby

OTTAWA -- Christopher J. Prisby, 52, of Ottawa, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, in Ottawa. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Ottawa Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Johnson officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Prisby was born Aug. 13, 1955, in San Antonio, Texas, to Bernard Sr. and Ruth (Bielawski) Prisby. He married Judy Spraggins on May 22, 2004, in Marseilles. He was a carman for CSX Railroad. He was an armor crewman in the U.S. Army. Chris had a passion for golf. He is survived by his wife; his father, Bernard Prisby Sr. of Lowell, Ind.; two daughters, Samantha (Matt) Donohue-Prisby of Marseilles and Kristina (Mike) Donohue-Prisby of California; two stepsons, Kelly (Jennifer) Miller of Vienna, Ill., and Greg Miller of Paducah, Ky.; four grandchildren, Garrett and Grace Miller; Madison Ruth Prisby and Mitchell Hutchison; a sister, Debbie (Bill) Prisby of Lowell, Ind.; and two brothers, Bernard Jr. (Deana) of St. John, Ind., and Kenneth (Lynda) of Dyer, Ind. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Prisby. Pallbearers will be Greg and Kelly Miller, Matt Peek, Bill Blevins, Bill Vande Vord and Mitchell Hutchison.
