Christopher L. Halterman, 29, of Ottawa, IL, died, Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center. Funeral Services will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Wangler officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 - 6:00 Friday at Ottawa Funeral Home. Chris was born December 11, 1981 in Ottawa, Illinois to Martin and Julie (Zahn) Halterman. He is survived by his mother, Julie (Mike) Wendorf of Ottawa; one sister, Tiffany Halterman of Ottawa; his grandparents, Richard and Darlene Zahn of Ottawa; two step-sisters, Jaime (Marc) Eigner of N.J. and Kelli (Eric) Blanco of N.J.; one step-brother, Brian Wendorf of Ottawa; two aunts, Karri (Craig) Lee of Ottawa and Sue (Darryn) Downey of Ottawa; three uncles, Jeffrey Zahn of Ottawa, Kevin (Mary Beth) Zahn of Arizona, Ron Halterman of Ottawa and; seven cousins, Emily Robinson, Rachel Robinson, Ciara Lee, Kyle Zahn, Brittany Bruck, Bethany Downey, and Angela Duffy. He was preceded in death by his father Martin Halterman, paternal grandparents, great-grandparents and great aunt, Diane Vandervort. Memorials may be directed to the family.
