Christine Duray

Christine Duray, 55, of Ottawa, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Morris Hospital.

A celebration of her life will take place at a later date. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home.

Christine was born September 27, 1967, in Peru, IL, to Jerome and Carolyn (Brucki) Wrobleski.

Christine was a member of the LaSalle-Peru High School class of 1985 and then went on to attend the Art Institute of Chicago. She had a passion for art and painting portraits. She enjoyed listening to classic rock, including her favorite band, Led Zeppelin. When she wasn't working on her art work, she spent as much time with her grandchildren as possible. They were the light of her life.

She is survived by her son, Tyler (Tori) Duray; her grandchildren, Lila and Willow Duray; her mother, Carolyn Wrobleski; her two brothers, Brian and Jim Wrobleski; her step children, Kari Ann Duray and Michael Sousa; her best friend, Gina Wolff; and her dog, Arnie. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerome Wrobleski and her partner, Al Lagodny.
