CHERRY VALLEY -- Christa Jones Demo, 32, of Cherry Valley, Ill., formerly of Ottawa, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, at Community Hospital of Ottawa. Funeral services and visitation will be private at Waltham Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Roy Backus officiating. Burial will be in Waltham Presbyterian Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home. Mrs. Demo was born Oct. 24, 1975, in Mendota, to Charles S. "Chuck" and Linda (Schultz) Jones Sr. She married David Demo in May 2004 at Waltham Presbyterian Church. She was sales representative for Sanofi-Aventis Pharmaceutical. She graduated from Illinois State University, was active in R.A.M.P. annual wheel-a-thon, was a volunteer at Rockford Memorial Hospital Pediatric Unit, participated in the annual American Breast Cancer Walk and was part of the Oral Cancer Foundation. She also appeared on Wheel of Fortune. She is survived by her husband, Dave of Cherry Valley; a daughter, Avery Leigh Demo of Cherry Valley; her mother, Linda Jones of Utica; her father, Charles "Chuck" Jones of Ottawa; her paternal grandfather, Raymond (Jean) Jones of rural LaMoille; her aunt Nora and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Jr. "Chad" Jones in 2002; her maternal grandparents, Lester and Eleanor Schultz; and her paternal grandmother, Arthrilla Jones. Pallbearers will be Eric Jenson, Tom Jerde, Tom Darif, Bob Demo, Rick Durso and Joshua Brauhn. Honorary pallbearers will be Andi Swango, Laura Utz, Angie Beeler, Pam Feeney, Brook Hines, Kelly Pettit, Kristine Townsend and Andrea Hansen.
