Cheryl Ann Kelly

Cheryl Ann Kelly passed away peacefully at her home on June 30th, 2023 following a short battle with cancer.

She was born September 19th, 1958 in Aurora, Illinois to Harold “Sonny” and Carol (Kumpik) Alfredson.  She married Scot Kelly of Marseilles, Illinois on December 14th, 1979.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Scot; her two children, Tiffany (Kelly) Cechowicz and Andrew Kelly both of Ottawa, IL; her honorary daughter, Katie Ryba of Harding, IL; her stepmother, JoAnne Alfredson of Hinckley, IL; her brothers, Timothy (Debbie) Alfredson of Hinckley, IL and Matthew (Kandie) Alfredson of Plano, IL; her sisters, Karie (Jim) Voights of Plano, IL and Victoria Jones of Hinckley, IL; and her aunts, Connie (Douglas) Donaldson and Sue Lee both of Big Rock, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sonny and Carol Alfredson; her grandparents, Harold and Majora Alfredson and Wally and Helen Chomacke; and her sister, Kristin Confer.

She enjoyed spending time with and taking care of her grandchildren Archer, Olivia, Arden, and Deegan.

She was employed at Richardson Electronics in La Fox, IL, B & B Electronics in Ottawa, IL and helped weigh trucks at the family quarry in Wedron, IL for many years.  She enjoyed reading, was an avid fisherwoman and mushroom hunter, she really loved beating her husband at both.
