Charnika Shann Wilkins

Charnika Shann Wilkins-Morales, 26, of Ottawa, died Monday, Aug. 18, in her home. A Celebration of Life will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Central Church of Christ in Streator. Mrs. Wilkins-Morales was born Nov. 6, 1981, in Chicago, to Joe Louis and Charlotte (Jones) Wilkins. She married Ramiro Perez Morales on June 4, 1999, in Memphis, Tenn. She is survived by her husband, Ramiro Perez Morales of Memphis, Tenn.; her mother, Charlotte Jones of Ottawa; her companion and special friend, Michael Edward Muehlemann of Ottawa; three daughters, Eulogia Morales, Marisol Morales and Marselina Martinez all of Ottawa; three sons, Ramiro Morales Jr., Fernando Martinez, and Michael A. Muehlemann Jr. also all of Ottawa; three sisters, Tarus Cathey, Kinta Wilkins and Renee Austin; four brothers, Charles Jones, Marcus Donaldson, Louis Wilkins and Jefferey Austin; and six aunts and uncles, George and Carmen Jones of Middleton, Tenn., James Jones of Arlington, Tenn., Roger Jones and Gladys Wilkins of Ottawa and Dora Hollaway of Memphis, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
