Charles Robert Watts Jr.

April 6, 1967 — July 8, 2019

Charles Watts, 52, of Ottawa passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, after a 4 year battle with cancer.

Memorial service will be at 10:30 am Friday, July 12, 2019 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Visitation will be 9:30 - 10:30 Friday, July 12, 2019 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery.

Chuckie was born April 6, 1967, in Ottawa, Illinois to Charles and Carol (Donohue) Watts. Chuckie played Little League baseball and loved skateboarding growing up. He also enjoyed NASCAR Racing and he was an avid Bears fan. Chuckie was also a former member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #33 and the Ottawa Moose Lodge. He enjoyed being outside and spending time with his family and friends; especially at his apartment complex these last few years. He leaves behind wonderful friends and family.

He is survived by his mother Carol (Donohue) Watts of Ottawa, his siblings, Lisa (Herb) Jung of Ottawa and Mary (Doug) Duing of Chester, Virginia; his nieces and nephews, Joshua (Carly) Harsted of Marseilles, Gunners Mate First Class Petty Officer, Robert (Rachel) Harsted of Yulee, FL, Miranda (Matt) Dekreon of Ottawa, Abigail and Matthew Duing of Chester, Virginia, and Isaac Jung of Ottawa; and great-nieces and nephews, Rylee Shea, Ryder Cash, Rowan Joshua Harsted, Jaiyden and Jaxyn Provance, Mia and Miles Dekreon and Ronnie Lou Harsted.

Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles Robert Watts Sr; paternal grandparents, Matthew and Viola (Veronda) Watts; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Blanche (Lyle) Donohue; and several aunts and uncles.
