Charles Sheely

Charles E. Sheely, 43, of Ottawa passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 5:00 pm at Christ Community Church, 807 LaSalle St. in Ottawa, with Rev. John Nordstrom Sr. officiating. Services will be upstairs with a dinner downstairs to follow. Ottawa Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with his cremation rites.

Charles was born March 21, 1974 in Rushville, Illinois to Dwayne and Cindy (Trimmer) Sheely. He married Mindy Redford on October 1, 2004 in Ottawa, Illinois. Charles worked for Mycogen Seeds in Grand Ridge, Illinois.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mindy; his son, Donny Sheely; his mother, Cindy Sheely; his mother-in-law, Sheila (Gary) Modesitt; his father-in-law, Tom (Cindy) Redford; his brother and sister-in-laws, Tiffany Apfel, Nina Alvizo, William (Kimberly) Modesitt; Michael (Karen) Modesitt, and Travis Redford; his siblings, Janice Torres, Derek Sheely and many nieces & nephews, cousins and many more extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.
