Charles "Bill" W. Seibert, 74, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013, at his home. Funeral Service for Bill will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Ottawa Funeral Home with Pastor David Davies of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Bill was born January 30, 1939, in Seneca, Illinois, to Oscar and Catherine (Hazelip) Seibert. He married Donna Barr on April 10, 1965 at the First United Methodist Church. He attended a one room school house and Ottawa High School. He worked for the City of Ottawa for 35 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Bill enjoyed his family and watching his granddaughters grow and supporting them in whatever they did. He also enjoyed reading western books, watching his western movies and working his puzzles. He was on Vitas Hospice for 2 years and 8 months, one of the longest they ever had. He is survived by his wife, Donna; one daughter, Jamie (Russell) Pratt of Ottawa; two grandchildren, Kathryn and Madolyn; one brother; Albert Seibert of Ottawa; and five sisters, Nancy (Vernon) Warriner of Wilmington, Deloris Adams of Ottawa, Jennifer Snell of Morris, Sally (Doug) Brockman of WI, and Judy (James) Emanuelson of Marseilles. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and three sisters. Pallbearers will be Dan Zachary, Steve Grosso, Rick Mitchell, and David Harper. Memorials can be made to the family.
