Charlene Weinreich, 78, of Seneca passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Morris Hospital. Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 Saturday, March 5, 2017 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Kris Zierke officiating. Her visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 Friday, March 4, 2016 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home. She will be buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Morris. Charlene was born September 25, 1937 in Morris, Illinois to Charles and Kathryn (Potter) Ayers. She married the love of her life Albert Weinreich February 18, 1956 in Morris; they celebrated 60 years of marriage this year. She worked for the US Post Office as a rural mail carrier and co-owned Al’s Body shop with her husband for many years. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Rural Mail Carriers Association, and she was active in the Seneca Chamber of Commerce. In her free time she loved to garden and enjoyed caring for the wildlife that surrounded their home. She is survived by her husband, Albert; two sons, Willard (Lisa) Weinreich and Wesley (Carrie) Weinreich; four grandchildren, Dustin (Rachelle) Weinreich, Amy Weinreich, Erica Weinreich, and Jacob Weinreich; and one sister, Kay (Ayers) Morris. She is preceded in death by her parents; and one brother in infancy, Charles Lloyd Ayers. Memorials may be directed to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 300 E. Union Street Seneca, IL 61360
