Catherine D. Donovan, 80, of Ottawa, IL passed away Friday October 21, 2011 at Pleasant View. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday October 25, 2011at the Ottawa Funeral Home with the Rev. Peter Ward officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Catherine was born May 13, 1931 in Ottawa, IL to Ernest and Fayetta (Miller) Nicholson. She married Lawrence Donovan January 13, 1951 in LaSalle, IL. Catherine worked for Porters and for Snap-on-Tools and retired from Dunkin Donuts. Catherine is survived by two daughters, Kay Hughes of Utica and Sandy (Tom) Ostrowski of Ottawa; three sons, Allan (Vivian) and Steve (Gay) both of Ottawa, and Art of Marseilles; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Marilyn Brown of Peru, Nancy (Chuck) Yeager of Depue; and a brother, Jim Nicholson of Utica. She is preceded by her husband; a son-in-law, Bill Hughes; one sister, Margaret Nicholson; her sister-in-law Deb Nicholson, four brothers, Joe, Gene, Frank, and John. Pallbearers will be Tom, Andrew and Dan Ostrowski, Jamie, Michael and Artie Donovan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kaylee Donovan, Skyler Slover, Jessa Biffany.
