Carol Wheeler

OTTAWA -- Carol A. Wheeler, 65, of Ottawa, died Saturday, Dec. 1, at Pleasant View Luther Home. Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ottawa Funeral Home with Chaplain Kerwin Sletto officiating. Burial will be private at Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Wheeler was born Aug. 30, 1942, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Harold and Stella (Sikora) Winniewicz. She married William Wheeler on May 5, 1960, in Georgia. He died Dec. 29, 1996. She was employed by Coldwell Banker, retiring in October 2004. She is survived by a daughter, Fawn Rohwer of Pontiac; a son, William Wheeler Jr. of Ottawa; three grandchildren, Rachel Mason, Jason Rohwer and Jared Wheeler; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
