Carol Borkowski

Carol Lee (Ratajczak) Borkowski, 73, of Putnam, Illinois, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on June 24, 2018 at Pleasant View Lutheran Home in Ottawa, Illinois.

A loving mother and homemaker, Carol was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing authentic Polish dishes for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays. She was a devoted supporter of her children, Andrew and Daniel, never missing an athletic event or a school activity. She adored her granddaughters, Torey, Allison and Morgan and took every opportunity to share their activities and accomplishments with anyone with whom she had contact.

In addition to her loving devotion to her family, Carol was active in her community. She was a member of the Ladies Friendship Club and Wii Bowling League at Lake Thunderbird in Putnam, Illinois. She was also active in the Daughters of Isabella and was a bingo caller at Heartland Healthcare Center in Henry, Illinois.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Andrew Borkowski, her brother, Tom Ratajczak, and her sisters, Judy Zuncic and Barabara Jablonski. She is survived by her two sons, Andrew (Jennifer) and Daniel (Heather) and three granddaughters, Torey, Allison and Morgan.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the family and friends that shared their time and love with Carol during the good times and the bad. Their love and support has been most appreciated. A memorial Mass will be announced in the near future.
