C. Jim "Yogi" Mcdonald

C. Jim "Yogi" McDonald, 77, of Ottawa passed away Monday, November 10, 2008 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. There will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded. He was born on August 1, 1931 at Ottawa to Clarence and Helen (Barber) McDonald. He married Mary Ellen Ide on December 18, 1949. She passed away June 22, 2002. He is survived by one daughter: Pam (Tom) McDonald Bottom of Ottawa, three sons: Mike (Abbie) McDonald of Ottawa, Dan (Judy) McDonald of South Carolina and Pat (LuAnn) McDonald of Georgia, eight grandchildren: Michelle Bradish, Ken, Carrie, Josh, Cody, Casey, Cassidy McDonald and Cory Weiman and nine great-grandchildren. He was an electrician with Local #247. He and his wife owned and operated a Mobile Home Park in Duquoin for 20 years. He was inducted in teh electricians union in November 1952 at Local IBEW #236. He served as president in Local #2476 and President and Assistant Business Manager for Local #176. He became a construction superintendent and traveled the U.S. including Alaska, Canada, Saudi Arabia and Israel.
