Burrel E. Draper, 96, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, April 04, 2012, at Ottawa Pavilion. There will be no services. Cremation rites were entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date at Oakwood Memorial Park. Burrel was born September 15, 1915 in Wayne City, Illinois, to Chancey and Selma Draper. He married Fern Sampson February 4, 1944 in Ottawa, Illinois. She preceded him in death on May 14, 2010. He retired from LOF. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He is survived by his son, Don (Betty) Draper of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren; and two sisters, Bernice Tullis and Erma Barlow. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Fern; a daughter, Darlene Draper; a brother, George Draper; and three sisters, Olivia Carstens, Vera Hertenstein, and Bertha Draper.
