Bryce D. Bilyeu, 19, of Marseilles passed away Monday, January 1, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 pm Monday, January 8, 2018 at St. Columba Church, with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from 9am to 1pm on Monday, prior to services, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Bryce was born in Ottawa to Dana and Jerilyn (Mulinazzi) Bilyeu. He was a 2016 graduate of Ottawa Township High School and attended College of DuPage where he played football. Bryce was the youngest of the Bilyeu children, but was the biggest. He was handsome, strong, athletic, smart when he wanted to be, and had the best sense of humor. Compared to most of his siblings he was very laid back and quiet, some might have said he was a "grump," that was until they got to know him and even though he had a tough exterior he really was very sensitive. Although he never tried, Bryce was always the center of attention in a group setting because everyone loved being around him. Bryce had the biggest heart and always stood up for the underdog. He took initiative when needed and was very passionate about everything he did, especially when it came to sports. He was an amazing son, brother, friend, and boyfriend. He loved and cared for his friends and family dearly and would do anything for them. There truly are not enough words to describe the wonderful person Bryce was, he will forever be loved and missed. He is survived by his father, Dana; his siblings, Jessica, McKenzie, Jacob, and his twin brother Ryan; his grandparents, Donald and Donna Mulinazzi; his girlfriend, Aubrey Paluszek; his aunts and uncles, Danny (Meggan) Mulinazzi, Jennifer Bilyeu, John (Debbie Wilimson) Bilyeu, and Melissa (Marc) Bilyeu-Hodroff; and his favorite dog, Max. He is preceded in death by his mother, Jerilyn; his paternal grandparents, Don and Nancy Bilyeu; and his uncle, Michael Bilyeu. Pallbearers will be Avery Rexroat, Garrett Hoffman, Weston Hoffman, Adam Poundstone, Kyle Green, Nick Serby, and Carnest Cornish. Memorials may be directed to his family for a scholarship to be set-up at Ottawa Township High School on his behalf.
