Bryan "Scot" Hackler, 54, of Ottawa, IL, passed away Monday, May 30, 2022  at his home.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Crossbridge Community Church, with Pastor Sherry Stevenson officiating. Visitation will be Friday, June 3, 2022, 4 pm - 7 pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Deer Park Cemetery.

Scot was born July 17, 1967, in Ottawa, IL, to Bryan Hackler and June (Hendry) Hackler. He married his “one and only love”, Rhonda (Mustered) Hackler, on November 25, 1989 in Ottawa, IL at Epworth United Methodist Church.

Scot and Rhonda had two daughters and two granddaughters: Amanda (Paul) Snook of Ottawa, IL, and granddaughters Ainslee and Braylee Snook, and daughter Emily (Brandon) Mabrey of Ottawa, IL.

Scot was a self-employed contractor. He loved to build houses and help with family projects. He took a great deal of pride in the home that he built for his family in Deer Park. Scot loved being involved with his daughter’s sports as they were growing up. He also enjoyed watching his granddaughters dance and play softball. Scot played golf in high school and continued to enjoy the game for years after. One of his most favorite hobbies was fishing. He always had his lucky spots out in Dayton and was able to enjoy deep sea fishing with family a few times. His happy place was at the beach or working out in his garden. Scot was known for many years as the “mum guy” at the local farmer’s market and many still ask for his mums today. If a vacation was mentioned, Scot was the first to say “let’s go!” He enjoyed all the laughs and memories the family made throughout the years.

Scot was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Pallbearers will be Jim Hackler, Dustin Hickey, Will Hocking, Brandon Mabrey, Ryan Mustered, Rocky Mustered, Zach Mustered, and Paul Snook.
