Brittany Ann Burash

Brittany Ann Burash, 16, of Grand Ridge, IL, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2010. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 p.m., Friday August 20, 2010 at St. Columba Church with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow at the Grand Ridge Community Center. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date. Brittany was born June 12, 1994 in Ottawa to Andrew and Cindy (Murphy) Burash Jr. She attended Ottawa Township High School her freshman year and attended the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy her sophomore year and planned to return this fall. Brittany participated in the choir and varsity softball teams at IMSA. She survived by her parents of Grand Ridge, two sisters Amber (Dan) Sharp of Ottawa, and Jessica Burash of Grand Ridge; two nephews, Bryce and Griffin Sharp of Ottawa; paternal grandparents, Andrew Sr. (Joann) of Streator; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Loney T. Murphy; and one uncle, Robert H. Murphy.
