Brett David Kennedy, 31, of Ottawa, Illinois passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012 in Ottawa. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Ottawa Funeral Home with the Rev. David Kipfer of St. Columba Church officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 AM Saturday at Ottawa Funeral Home. Brett was born January 16, 1981 in Ottawa, Illinois to David and Diane (Crone) Kennedy. He worked at as a sales representative for the time share industry. He was a member of St. Columba Church. He is survived by his parents, David and Diane Kennedy of Ottawa; his children, Dylan, Austin, Madeline and Chloe; his sister, Candice Kennedy of Ottawa; his grandmother, Lucille Kennedy of Ottawa; his aunt, Kathy (Gary) Tuftie of Ottawa; one uncle, Donald (Leslie) Crone of Glen Carbon; his great-aunt, Theresa Nodland of Ottawa; his nieces and nephews, Mackenzie, Carrington, and Reese; several cousins; and his friend, Dena Helea. He was preceded in death by his brother Matthew Kennedy; grandparents, Wilbert T. Kennedy and William and Marylou (Kendall) Crone; an aunt, Patricia Kennedy Tirevold; and a great uncle, Donald Nodland.
